Northern Parula (Setophaga americana) – Acadia National Park, Maine
We met this nice fellow while hiking the Ocean Path, near Otter Cliffs in Acadia National Park. Amazingly, the bird moved closer and closer, so I had to retreat because it was too close for my 400mm prime lens to focus! Thank you little bird!

I am pleased to report that a Baltimore Oriole and a White-crowned Sparrow has joined my birding photo gallery!
An amazing sight – both male and female on Nun’s Island.

A short essay about my finite element analysis software, sim|FEM detailing its capabilities and use. Read about it in my Projects.
I made a revolutions (or is that rotations?) per minute counter for my milling machine. It only needs a few components and enables me to have a better control over my milling operations. Read the article on my Projects page.
I have moved my site to the WordPress engine.
